Creando un ambiente de tensión / Creating a tense atmosphere

Un día estaba grabando con mi H2 de Zoom una batería para tener samplers de cada cuerpo del instrumento. Cuando llegué al Crash y le di un golpe para comenzar a grabarlo sin darme cuenta moví mi H2 y en mis auriculares presencié un sonido ondulante que me impresionó. Este sonido provocaba una sensación de tensión muy grande. Pruebenlo ustedes, graben un crash y sin alejar demasiado la cápsula del mic del crash (hasta un maximo de 5 cm con la capsula on-axis apuntando perpendicularmente a cualquier parte del crash) vayan haciendo movimentos con el mic de arriba hacia abajo en todas las direcciones. Experimenten con movimientos suaves y bruscos.

Utilizando este efecto como punto de partida cree el ambiente de tensión que se puede escuchar al final del post:

Básicamente hice un loop de este efecto ondulante en donde le agregué efectos tales como un Phaser y Reverb. También agregué otros sonidos para darle otro tipo de colores tales como hojas de diarios en reversa y el rechinar de una puerta corrediza.

One day using my H2 handy recorder, I was recording a drum to take samples of each body of the instrument. When I was recording the Crash, without realizing that I had moved my H2, in my headphones i witnessed an strange undulating sound that impressed me. The sound caused a great sensation of tension.

Try it yourself. Record a crash (or a Ride) and without moving too much the mic capsule from the crash (up to a maximum of 5 cm and the capsule on-axis pointing perpendiculary to any part of the crash) move the mic up and down to all direcctions.

Using this idea like starting point i created the tension ambience that you can hear at the end of the post.

Basicallly i added efects such us reverb and phaser to the main sound and also i added other sounds like newspaper pages in reverse and the gnash of a sliding door.
